A fitness enthusiast. A trainer. A baker. And a friend.
Why I admire her:
She is a woman who has publicly discussed her past issues with harassment in the workplace. She has been beaten down emotionally more than once. And although it has given her grief and pulled her down a few times, she has over come it. She has become a woman she is and should be proud of.
She’s overcome beauty issues and focused on health first. Her diet is typically egg, dairy and gluten free. Not an easy task. She is a trainer, and works out herself daily. She is not worried about being thin, as she used to be. She’s focused on being healthy and fit.
This isn’t to say that there aren’t days when she (and we) look in the mirror and doubt our self image of ourselves. What is that fat poking out? Why is my thigh so big? Did I really think that haircut looked good?
Self doubt can plague us. But Jill, is an inspiration for those of us who are worried about beauty and how we look each day. She has put a new lens on and it’s a healthy one.
And did I mention she also started a food brand named Baked Fit? She makes healthy egg, dairy and gluten free based muffins that you can get locally in NY or have them shipped to you across the nation. I got a batch of pumpkin flavored ones back in the Fall and couldn’t believe that she was able to make them taste good with such limitations on ingredients. And I guess that is the point. Being egg, dairy and gluten free doesn’t mean you’re limited. It means being creative while being healthy.
Jill – you rock.
