It can’t be helped. Most of us, even if we are already on a healthy journey, want to optimize our exercise and workout routines in the beginning of the year. Although I typically take spin, pilates and barre classes, and free weights on my off days, I wanted to do more. I decided to add a daily challenge for 30 days.
- The Plank Challenge
- Do a plank everyday
- Start with 20 seconds
- Try for a minimum of 60-90 seconds (preferably 120).
- Then add a plank switch from a full to elbow plank as your stopwatch goes
- Add on side planks
- The Burpee Challenge
- Do burpees everyday
- Start with 5 burpees
- Increase to a minimum of 30 (preferably 50, with breaks in-between sets of 10).
Then we can add on pushups and squats, but let’s start here.
